"Doorknocker"

A tactical team member prepares a grenade before engaging a room full of peeps conveniently out-of-frame.

Inspired by a recent watching of the movie "Mosul", this was just a quick painting to test out some new brushes and based on a random, no-reference sketch from the previous year. Although they weren't drawn to be any specific military and the gear is a hodge-podge mix of real and invented (or poorly remembered...) the brassards do seem kinda Canadian.

This painting also has the dubious merit of being painted in sub-zero temperatures in my own home, as my windows were being replaced in the middle of February.
